ERECTED ON THIS SITE, AND THE SCENE OF THE INAUGURATION OF THE FIRST PHILIPPINE ASSEMBLY, WAS BURNED NOVEMBER 16, 1943. THIS NEW BUILDING WAS ERECTED AND INAUGURATED APRIL 11, 1947.

National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures

The National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures is the NHCP’s official record historic sites and structures throughout the Philippines. Under Republic Act No. 10086, the Registry covers historic sites and structures documented by the NHCP, while Section 20 mandates the Historic Sites and Structures Documentation Center (HSSDC) to undertake their survey, identification, and documentation, and to maintain the National Registry.

The Registry serves as a public reference for information on places recognized for their significance to Philippine history and heritage.
