THIS BUILDING WAS ERECTED IN THE YEAR 1957 AS A RESIDENCE FOR JOSE P. LAUREL, PRESIDENT OF THE SECOND PHILIPPINE REPUBLIC, WHO WAS BORN IN TANAUAN, BATANGAS ON MARCH 9, 1891, AND DIED IN MANDALUYONG, RIZAL, ON NOVEMBER 6, 1959, AFTER A LIFETIME OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO HIS COUNTRY.
