FORT OF CUYO WAS BUILT ABOUT 1680 BY THE RECOLLECT AGUSTINIANS, ACCORDING TO THE PLANS AND UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF REV. JUAN DE SAN SEVERO, A.R. THE FORT, MADE OF STONE AND MORTAR, WAS SQUARE IN FORM, WITH FOUR BASTIONS.
