COLLEGE OF SAN JUAN DE LETRAN

FOUNDED BY DIEGO DE SANTAMARIA, O.P., IN 1630, THIS INSTITUTION ABSORBED THE SCHOOL OF JUAN GERONIMO GUERRERO IN 1638 AND IN 1638 ABSORBED THE SCHOOL OF JUAN GERONIMO GUERRERO. REMOVED TO THE PARIAN IN 1648 AFTER DESTRUCTION BY THE EARTHQUAKE OF 1645. IT REMAINED THERE TWENTY YEARS. LOCATED ON THIS SITE SINCE 1669. TERCENTENARY SOLEMNLY CELEBRATED IN 1930.

National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures

The National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures is the NHCP’s official record historic sites and structures throughout the Philippines. Under Republic Act No. 10086, the Registry covers historic sites and structures documented by the NHCP, while Section 20 mandates the Historic Sites and Structures Documentation Center (HSSDC) to undertake their survey, identification, and documentation, and to maintain the National Registry.

The Registry serves as a public reference for information on places recognized for their significance to Philippine history and heritage.
