CAMP KASISANG

FIFTY-HECTARE CAMP KASISANG, MALAYBALAY IN THE HEART OF BUKIDNON PLATEAU, WHERE BRIGADIER-GENERAL ROXAS AND 6,000 PRISONERS OF WAR WERE IMPRISONED FROM AUGUST TO DECEMBER 1942. HE WAS GIVEN A FREE HAND TO MANAGE THE CAMP, MAINTAINING PRISONERS IN GOOD HEALTH AND COMPARATIVE COMFORT.

National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures

The National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures is the NHCP’s official record historic sites and structures throughout the Philippines. Under Republic Act No. 10086, the Registry covers historic sites and structures documented by the NHCP, while Section 20 mandates the Historic Sites and Structures Documentation Center (HSSDC) to undertake their survey, identification, and documentation, and to maintain the National Registry.

The Registry serves as a public reference for information on places recognized for their significance to Philippine history and heritage.
