CONSTRUCTED OF MATERIALS TAKEN NEAR BACLAYON, 1844, BY RECOLLECT FR. ANTONIO CORTES. WITHSTOOD THE 1863 STORM WHICH DESTROYED THE CHURCH, UTILIZED AS GUARD POST BY THE SPANISH, FILIPINO, AMERICAN AND JAPANESE FORCES.
