Mangatarem, Pangasinan

Mangatarem is a landlocked municipality located in the south-central portion of Pangasinan along the slopes of the Zambales Mountain Range, holding the distinction of having the largest land area among all towns in the province. Originally founded as a visita (ecclesiastical outpost) of San Carlos in 1827 under Spanish rule, it was formally established as an independent pueblo and parish in 1835.
