CHURCH OF LUCBAN

THE FIRST CHURCH, BUILT IN 1595, WAS RUINED IN 1629. THE SECOND CHURCH WAS CONSTRUCTED BETWEEN 1630 AND 1640, BUT WAS SERIOUSLY DAMAGED BY FIRE IN 1733. THE PRESENT CHURCH WAS COMPLETED IN 1738 AND THE CONVENT IN 1743.

National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures

The National Registry of Historic Sites and Structures is the NHCP’s official record historic sites and structures throughout the Philippines. Under Republic Act No. 10086, the Registry covers historic sites and structures documented by the NHCP, while Section 20 mandates the Historic Sites and Structures Documentation Center (HSSDC) to undertake their survey, identification, and documentation, and to maintain the National Registry.

The Registry serves as a public reference for information on places recognized for their significance to Philippine history and heritage.
